I have always felt the need to create whether it was making construction paper “paintings” as a child or becoming the artist/designer/metalsmith that I am today.
After years of experimenting with other mediums, from the construction paper of my childhood to becoming a stained glass artist, and a few others in between, I fell in love with working in metal. Metal can be manipulated into endless shapes and forms and textures, from delicate to tough, and the journey from raw material to finished piece always feels magical to me.
I hand craft every piece in my Nashville studio using precious metals and gemstones, so each one is unique and bears the marks of human hands, not the perceived perfection of machine made or mass production. There is no way to explain how much joy I feel when someone purchases a piece of my work, if feels like my little contribution to keeping art alive in the world.
